I don't like Fridays now

Lois Elaine Adams Bates
1951 ~ 2013
On July 7, 1951, the world gained an angel that kept giving and giving. On Friday, August 16, 2013, Heaven got her back. Lois Elaine Adams Bates passed away peacefully at home in West Jordan, surrounded by family. She was the second of ten children born to Margaret Larsen and Mack Spencer Adams of Heber City. With her heart of gold, Elaine helped raise her brothers and sisters, and from there went on to raise many others throughout her amazing life.
Elaine loved kids. She had a special way of teaching children how to sing, dance, clean and love. Elaine had seven kids and babysat dozens of others over the years. She loved teaching Primary and was considered a favorite second mom by all the many kids in her life. She saw the good in everyone and loved her children unconditionally.
She is survived by her husband Gary Bruce Bates and seven children: Maren (Darin) Lythgoe, Edward (Crystal) Bates, Spencer (Tammy) Bates, Jeanette (Hadley) Soffe, Christopher Bates, Elizabeth (John) Mann, Jessica (Brad) Prestwich as well as her honorary daughter Andrea Pina Kuhn, 17 grandchildren, her mother, Margaret, and eight of her siblings: Brent (Hilary) Adams, David (Patty) Adams, Lynn (Paulette) Adams, Leslie (Karl) Christensen, Suzanne (Matt) Wilkinson, Wayne (Marie) Adams, John Adams, and Russell (Rebecca) Adams.
Preceded in death by her father Mack and brother Michael (Ann).
There will be no funeral services. A private celebration of her life will be held by her family.

oh Jess. I can only imagine what you are feeling these days. An emotional roller coaster. I know when I am grieving, I don't want to talk. It makes it too real for me. It is so much easier to just move on with life, push it aside until it isn't so sharp, and try to resume a semblance of reality. That's how I cope with loss. So am offering you my ear--- but only if you want to talk. If you don't, I totally understand. But should you ever feel a desire to acknowledge or express one or all of the myriad of emotions you are dealing with right now, please know that I am here for you. REALLY. I know we don't hang out any more since we're not in the same ward, but that doesn't mean I don't still love you and want to be there for you. Please know that I am grieving with you for your loss. Prayers for you, friend.

Beautiful obituary, I'll admit I searched it out last week. I'm so sorry Jess, I hope those closer to you are helping support you in any way you need. Wish I could be one of them.
