- I made my own laundry detergent for the first time. Just call me Mrs Granola... or Mrs Toocheaptobuyreallaundrydetergent. Both have a nice ring, dontcha think?
Just making detergent. |
- I bought coffee filters for the first (and probably last) time in my life for a super cute and easy wreath. It makes me happy!
It is fluffy. |
- Coloring while watching General Conference is the meaning of a good time. Amiright? Also, having breakfast with friends is also a great way to spend Conference weekend, which we also did.
- Getting my oldest sister's birthday present put together (HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAREN!). Even if she doesn't love it, I sure do!
It's whats on the inside that counts. |
- Celebrating my own birthday (29!) by eating lots of yummy food (Korean for lunch and sushi for dinner). Plus, Brad spoiled me! Aaaand he is also yummy...
Korean food! Well... we aren't Korean food but the rest of it is... |
- Getting a manicure and pedicure for the first time EVER in my life (thanks Brad!)... too bad the polish on my nails started peeling a few hours later. A job not well done, Phia Salon.
- BUT! I fixed it by giving myself an even cuter manicure, with the help of lots of tape. And hot pink nail polish.
French tip awesomeness. |
- I ordered fabric online for the first time ever and just got the package. Mail is fun.
- And so is this HORSE fabric! Call me simple-minded but I am so so so excited about these golden little horses. I'm gonna make me a t-shirt and wear it every single day for the rest of my life. Or something. Plus, the fabric is so soft... like butter...
This isn't the best picture but you get the idea. |
- I love my serger. This isn't anything new but I just figured out a new stitch (the rolled hem... so what if I don't catch on very quick) and I just made me a new shirt with my new skills and I love it.
- I'm getting neon yellow shoes! Thank you birthday money!! It's ok if you wanna copy me.
- We are participating in a couples study at OSU and they're gonna give us money just for poking our fingers twice a day (to check our glucose levels). It doesn't even hurt! Suckers. Plus, they gave us voodoo dolls to vent our frustration at each other. Serious.

Happy Birthday!! You can't possibly be 29...you look so young! I have a friend out here that also makes her own detergent. Go you! I love your updates.
It's so fluffy I'm gonna die! :) Happy birthday! And I think you should do a tutorial on your rolled hem on your serger--I've been trying to figure that out myself lately. I'm totally jealous that you've already got it figured out.
Um HELLO. Where did you buy that horse fabric?? I need it!!!
Thanks for the permission to copy on the shoes because that is definitely my plan. I've been looking for ones like that for awhile now!
