Blogging hasn't really happened the last couple of months, despite the fact that I have oodles of free time (that's what happens when you're unemployed... just so you know). But, I decided to recap what has happened over the last few months.
Towards the end of March, Brad and I went to MedProm with our friends. It was "Great Gatsby" themed but most did not dress up accordingly. It was at the Franklin Park Conservatory (beautiful!) and it was fun to dress up and go dancing (but, boy howdy, 97% of those attending got crazy drunk).
Around the 28th of March we roadtripped it out to Utah to visit family (the only reason we drove is because we had left a lot of stuff in Utah and we wanted to finish moving it out to Ohio). It was a glorious 2 week vacation where I spent most of my time just hanging out with my sisters. It was the best. And here is pretty much the only picture I took the entire time. Pretty, no?
Sorry about your head being chopped off, Maren... |
Oh, for my birthday Brad got me a serger. Dream come true. No joke. I've been wanting one for years and years and years and it finally happened. We we we so excited.
Once we got back to Ohio I got my hairs chopped off. Here is how it looked the day of. I don't like the haircut but life goes on and hair grows back and it was definitely time for a change.
For Mother's Day, Brad got me stuff to have a mini herb garden (chives, basil, and rosemary). I'm so excited. The basil is starting to sprout!
basil! |
This past Friday, Brad's sister and her husband drove through Columbus on their way to Pennsylvania (they are moving there for the summer) so we got to hang out with them for a glorious 24 hours. It was tons of fun to have visitors. Who wants to come visit next?
Other than that, Brad has been busy studying and taking tests and hanging out with an old lady named Judith, shadowing a thoracic surgeon, and taking tests. I've been watching netflix, sewing (yay serger!), and working on projects (maybe someday I'll take pictures of them to show). Maybe I'll start seriously looking for a job soon... once I run out of things to make.
