yay weekends!

This weekend was a pretty good one and I'm sad I have to go back to work tomorrow.

On Thursday night, I attended a RS activity where we made Bento (Japanese lunch boxes). It was a lot of fun to make and to try new foods. Here is what mine ended up looking like (well, after I ate a few things...).

Not the prettiest Hello Kitty rice ball (also known as onigiri [the rice ball, not Hello Kitty]). It looks more like Warrior Kitty but it was still yummy (it had salted salmon in the middle). We also made origami chopstick holders that night.

Friday I took off work. Just for fun. It was nice to hang out with Brad all day and get stuff done around the house. That night we met up with friends for dinner at a yummy restaurant called Piada. After that I ditched Brad and went to a friend's house for a girls only dance party.

Saturday morning a few girls got together to make St. Patrick's Day wreaths. I haven't made anything in so long so it was fun to craft again. The only reason why I was able to even make my wreath was because my friend Lisa was wonderful enough to cut out all the circles for me (without her I wouldn't have been able to make it because of my carpal tunnel).

Yay crafting!

Oh, something else that happened on Saturday that was momentous: I had my first smoothie of the year!

It was delicious! I just threw some greek yogurt, a banana, milk, frozen strawberries, and frozen spinach in my blender and whammy - a healthy and yummy treat!

I love adding spinach to my smoothies. I made a great one the other day that tasted just like a PB&J sandwich.

And I totally recognized Hello Kitty! Very cute.
