I just finished New Moon and I have to say, I enjoyed it more than Twilight. Except for the first 130 (or so) pages, which were, in my opinion: absurd. Please don't hate me. But Bella's reaction to Edward leaving was, in my opinion, a little over the top, what some might call dramatic and ridiculous (I'm that someone).
A few of the reasons I enjoyed this installment of the sequal more than the first:
- Jacob (Edward lovers, please don't hate me): he was fun, warm (literally), caring, and HAPPY! He wasn't some moody block of ice (aka Edward... to each his own I guess).
- More action: I was SO happy when all the werewolve and vampire action picked up - it meant less Bella moodiness which drove me nuts!
Basically that's it.

Agreed. 2nd was way better than the first. I hope the 4th doesn't disappoint. Action, please! (and not the kind that Bella likes...)
I totally agree--especially with the werewolf-vampire action. Once Edward was out of the picture (thus all nauseating mush out of it), then something real could happen. And since I didn't like Bella already, I loved seeing her be an idiot and make dumb choices. Head's up with #3 for my opinion: HATED IT! Especially the 3 main characters.
I want action in book four. Bella and Edward action!!! They best be getting married and he best be turning her into a vampire and they best be living happily eva afta.
And I happen to love moody blocks of ice.
I somewhat agree with the whole over the top reaction to Edward leaving. And I like Jacob. You will not like book 3, I'll just tell you right now. Lots of romance, lots of drama. And remember, book 3 is where Bella proves that she's only 17.
That being said, I love the whole series, big block of ice and all.
I'm agreeing with Maureena here...Book three is hard core drama (in my opinion). The romance stuff is actually a bit sickening (again, my opinion).
I'm glad you liked book 2 better. It is, in my opinion, the best of the series. But I guess we'll see how book 4 turns out.
