This book was intense and stressful, but so worth reading. It was informative, moving, and the ending was better than expected.
My heart strings, they were tugged. Took me a bit to get into (let's be honest, haven't been a big reader lately) but once I did... ahh, so good.
I've always thought the idea of Scientology was absurd. This book confirmed it.
It was interesting to actually find out more about Scientology: the practices, beliefs, lifestyle, etc. I'll just say, I'm so glad she escaped!

Looks like you had a good time. I can only guess, though, because, as Liz noted, there was no commentary. But from the smiles on your faces, I guess it was great. And who's the random child? Looks like Lucy. But I can't tell from the disguise (hat) she's wearing. Was this the campout Jeanette was talking about? How was the weather? Who else came? How many days did you spend? What kind of lizard was that? What did you have for meals? Were there any mysterious visitors from outer space? So many unanswered questions...
Darin just suggested that I zoom into the picture to see who that random child was.
She is one cute girl, that Lucy. Did Zeke come, too? And Jeanette and Hadley? What about Toby? What markings did you see on the wall? Any idea what they mean? Any narrow passageway tunnel things that you had to hike through? Any beautiful waterfalls or streams? Sure would be nice to know...
